A bit more about Jim Black….

Jim and his wife Sheila are lifelong Iowans with six children.  Sheila teaches music in the Algona Community school district, while Jim sell insurance and farm southeast of Algona.  Jim believes his work experiences in managing a farm, working for the government Farm Service Agency, doing construction with a local contractor, and selling insurance for a main street business provides a broad background to glean knowledge from while serving as our next state senator.  Jim is also active in his church, the local chamber,  is a member of the Farm Bureau, served on various local committees while being a Kossuth County Supervisor, and previously was elected to the Iowa Senate back in 1996.
